ArtStream

  • ArtStream is a regional organization based in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area whose mission is to create artistic opportunities for individuals in communities traditionally under-served by the arts. We are a consortium of compassionate, professional, experienced artists who wish to serve the needs of our clients. Our goal is to reach out to members in various groups such as persons with disabilities, seniors, people with short or long term illnesses and their families or caregivers, immigrants, veterans, people who are grieving, and students and teachers. Our purpose is to inspire and help heal through various art forms such as theatre, puppetry, visual arts, multimedia, music, and dance. This is accomplished through interactive workshops and productions, on-going classes, seminars, performances, and training.

Mind the Gap

  • Mind the Gap is a rock and roll band, covering a wide variety of music from the 1960s to present, including a few originals. MTG is formed from a group of IBM’ers with engineering backgrounds, bringing not only great sound but a few fun surprises to each show. Having day jobs allows the band to also pursue another key interest, giving back to those in need. Mind the Gap is a nonprofit organization and donates the band’s income to worthy charitable organizations.

Ira and Friends

  • An upbeat combination of acoustic slide blues, rock, and Americana. Ira founded “NC Blues in the School” as well as the “NC Hops and Roots Festival”. He has played at various schools including The Mariposa School as well as The Tammy Lynn Center.

The Hey Brothers

  • On a dark, and stormy night… Five friends gathered to play and sing, the old, the new, the borrowed, and the blues. The picking was good, the midnight hour came and went, driving to work the next morning would take an extra cup of coffee. They discovered how much they really enjoyed the work that didn’t feel like work, the laughs, the sound of trio harmonies, and the natural ease in finding the elusive groove. “We gotta make the time to do this again, this is fun. It’s bona fide!” they said. Several dark and stormy nights later a moniker for the five was chosen. They call themselves The Hey Brothers, “Makers of the Fine Bluegrass”.

The Windsor Oaks Band

  • Four guys, four voices, and one passion… music. The Windsor Oaks Band combines crafty guitar licks, heart-pounding drums and bass, and ear catching melodies to create music that fuels them. Hopefully it fuels you. Life can be tough, but the Windsor Oaks Band does what it can to make you leaves your troubles behind. So stand up, clap your hands and by all means… sing along!

The Mid Life Crisis Band

  • Who says you can’t rock on the other side of the hill? Based in Raleigh NC, this band was formed by 4 handsome and independently wealthy mid-lifers out of sheer boredom and a common love of Rock and Roll. What started as a whim has evolved into a legend in their own minds. Bringing life to the party since 1999, they specialize in neighborhood parties, high school reunions, over 30 year birthday parties, celebrations, club parties, wedding parties and special events.
